Proenza Schouler - Spring 2016 campaign
Published on 21 January 2016
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez wanted to capture the essence of the Proenza Schouler woman in a “deeply personal and completely honest” campaign for spring. Working with an all-female crew — with imagery by Zoe Ghertner and looks styled by Marie Chaix — McCollough and Hernandez channeled raw simplicity without bells and whistles. “The aim was to capture a kind of confident individualism we are consistently drawn to and to explore the intimate and personal narrative that was an important subtext to the spring 2016 collection,” the designers told WWD in a joint statement. The ads, which feature natural beauties Selena Forrest, Olympia Campbell and Nicole-Antonia Spagnola in the brand’s sensual, shoulder-baring looks and bold accessories, are slated to break in March issues of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview and W as well as biannual publications such as Love, Purple, Pop, Self Service and The Gentlewoman.
