Groundbreaking fashion-video

Womenswear brand Drag & Drop, run by two sisters, Anna and Yulia Grazdhan delights in a playful sexy femininity and is based on comparing elements associated with classic luxury – such as lace, velvet and gemstones – with the relaxed silhouettes of sportswear. In their new collection, sports bras are teamed with lace bodices, oversized white coats with t-shirt dresses: it’s a combination of classic notions of girliness and the sporty style of today’s Kiev. It's about freedom and independence, the sisters suggest, the ability to move from the city's streets to a party to a lover's bedroom.

"Our video was shot in 36 hours, as the rental equipment was quite expensive, and we were working with a tight budget. I do remember one occasion being on the road at dawn rushing to get to our next shooting location at the Kyiv Sea, in a car full to the brim with clothes and filming equipment.
After 12 hours of non-stop shooting we were all very tired, and ended up being stopped at a police check-point. And just to my luck, I had forgotten my driving license!  It was all very scary, however after a brief interrogation the policeman realised that we were on an important mission, and allowed us to carry on."

"A woman is dualistic by nature. Today she loves, tomorrow she hates. Our clothes say a lot about ourselves and who we are, and enable us to define our character and form our style arbitrarily. We use materials which are not of traditional taste but with a sporty, more casual fit"– D&D interview for Just Magazine Winter 2016.
